Terms of service
This store is operated by Atelier Hébert ("the studio"). By placing an order you agree to the terms below. They sit alongside the refund policy, the shipping policy and the privacy policy.
What you are buying
You are buying a physical photographic print. Prints are silver gelatin unless a listing says otherwise, enlarged and processed by hand. Because they are hand-made, no two prints from the same negative are identical; variation in tone and density is a property of the process.
Images on this site are photographs or scans of prints. A screen cannot show a silver gelatin print exactly, and the object will differ from the image on your screen.
Copyright and use
Buying a print does not transfer copyright. The studio retains all rights in the photographs. A print is sold for private display. It may not be reproduced, scanned, published, used commercially, or offered as part of another product without written permission. Reselling the physical print you bought is your right; reproducing the image is not.
If you want to license an image for publication or commercial use, that is a separate arrangement — write to the address below.
Prices and availability
Prices are in US dollars and may change without notice. Prices rise as work sells; a price you saw previously is not a price the studio is bound to. An order is only accepted once it is confirmed and paid. If a print cannot be made or is no longer available, the order will be cancelled and refunded in full.
Orders the studio may decline
An order may be refused or cancelled at the studio's discretion — for example where an order appears fraudulent, or where a print is wanted for a use the copyright terms above do not allow. Any payment taken is refunded in full.
Limits
To the extent the law allows, the studio's liability for any order is limited to the amount paid for that order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
